After years of ‘father and daughter’ struggle with sensitive skin and frustration with the options available in the market, Rebeaut was conceived in the kitchen of the founder (investment professional of 20 years, Invesco, Morgan Stanley alumnus) to offer safe and effective products for sensitive skin, with a ‘safety first’ and ‘skin type’ approach
About New About New
About New About New
Yes, we have an origin story too
In 2010, I broke out into a severe rash that would keep erupting every few days. 4 years later, after a ton of medication and expensive skincare products, I found no relief. In 2014 my daughter, barely 7 years then also started reacting to just about anything that went on her skin. This finally put to rest the often-debated topic ‘Who has she gone on – father or mother?’
I started studying ingredient labels and discovered plenty of toxic, nasty stuff in skincare products to which our sensitive skin would react. My kitchen became a mini-laboratory where I started creating skincare products for personal use, experimenting with ingredients on weekends. Cleaner, home created products suited our skin, and we rarely had any skin issues.
In 2020, after 6 years of being a kitchen scientist, Rebeaut was born when I realized
- Many of us sensitive skin folks struggle to find suitable products in the market
- Many more do not even know they have sensitive skin because they don’t know what to look for
- Too much misinformation and bad advice about skincare products, ingredients and skin type
OUR BELIEFS
Sensitive skin is not a ‘skin type', it’s a ‘skin condition’ that can affect any skin type. Products need to be formulated by ‘skin type’ to be safe and effective at the same time. What we ‘DO NOT PUT’ on our skin is as important as what we put on it
OUR PLEDGE
Good for your skin, the earth, for animals and for society. In creating safe products for you, we are equally conscious about the earth, its living beings and ecological balance:
- Cruelty free and vegan
- Recyclable packaging materials
- Sustainably produced ingredients that do not deplete the earth’s resources
- Avoid suppliers that are guilty of child labour
- Focus on the gender diversity of organizations we work with
